A romantic symbol between captivity and freedom

Instead of living with animals in natural harmony, we keep them in containers specially designed by us according to our own preferences, needs and desires. This project explores the idea of dealing with animals differently.

Birdcage made of ice

A small yellow Canary is kept in a bird cage made of ice. As the cage melts, the boundary between being trapped and being free gradually disappers. This project was realized in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park on the Canary Island of La Palma (Spain) on June 1st, 2019.
